Rykestrasse 68 is stunning - my mind is blown, espec. when I listen on headphones. I love the largest grooves (Break My Body) to the smallest sounds (the Obelix purrs). These deep & infectious songs are performed, arranged & recorded so precisely & thoughfully - it’s beautiful.

Takk for fantastisk konsert i Bodø i går! Må bare beklage frekvensen av høylytte idioter på tapasta, perler for svin og alt det der.
er vinylen av rykestrasse 68 å få tak i ?
I was wondering if I could mail-order a copy of the new CD… Actually 2 copies: One for me and one for my friend who introduced me to your music. I’ll gladly pay whatever shipping packaging etc. I’m not a huge fan of iTunes, your music deserves to heard with its fullest fidelity, and I’m not sure I can stand waiting for the US release.
Or, if you don’t mind, you could drop them off at my house here in Southern California.
All joking aside, I really hope you do manage a US tour, or at least a West Coast tour, because I’d love to experience a performance.
Peace!

Just a big hello from UK and thanks for your amazing music which I have discovered on iTunes and bought the lot! I love your quirky refreshing sound, beautiful voice, sense of humour and sheer joie de vivre! Wishing you every success from a smitten fan!!! xxxx
Hei og hopp!
Takk for flott konsert på kvarteret! Det var veldig fint og imponerende. Jeg la ut noen bilder fra kvelden på min blog som er her: www.doncamatic.blogspot.com
Lykke til videre!
Thanks for the concert and your amazing music!!!
Suss&Klemm!! BESOS! From Barcelona
TAKK for your WONDERFUL music. In spite of the technical problems you had, it was a GREAT gig. Come back as soon as you can to Barcelona!!
Big love.
i wonder if there’s any plan to release a vinyl version of this great record, that would fit well next to my little things LP ^_^
hope to see you soon… on tour in france ! (please please please)
why rykestrasse? in rykestrasse here in berlin is an indian restaurant where i spent at least two years of my life!
[…] 4. Hanne Hukkelgerg has also made her second album in Propeller studio. It is named “Rykestrasse 68” after her half year living in Berlin. The album is truly amazing. A more orchestral and cinematic sound unfolds new sides of Hanne’s beautiful voice. All songs are written by Hanne except the dark version of Pixies “Break My Body” featuring Daniel Warg Sanden on nyckel-harp. Rykestrasse 68 is out in Norway and itunes store only! […]
thanks for the barcelona gig, for the new cd, for the music and for the laughs.
hope to see you soon.

Thanks for your original, beautiful music. It’s been a long time since I was so captivated with an album as I am with “Little Things”. And “Rykestrasse” grows and grows on me. I hope I’ll have the chance to see you on a gig in germany. Looking really forward to it.
All the best wishes and keep on doing such fantastic music!
Hello Hanne, you and your band are great musicians. I had the luck to attend the gig in stadtgarten in köln. I was really excited , as was the whole crowd. Sadly after only four encores the concert was over;-). Hope you return soon to germany.
Best regards,
gunnar
Please make this available as a CD. I’m also not a fan of iTunes and very much want to hear the album.
When are you coming to the UK?
Sadly the new cd isn’t so experimental as the the first one was. Those childish instruments played so perfect made it so special. Your band clearly steps more forward to pop. I really hope that you wont lose your uniqueness over the time and get back to your basics.

Well, I’m not of the opinion, that the new album did get less experimental, even though it was my first impression, too. But the further listening has proven me wrong. It is much more solemn and it is darker than “Little Things”. And in some ways it is much more complex. I still find your music very unique. It is a very fresh and rich experience this times and there are not many artists that manage to impress me that much. “Rykestrasse 68″ certainly is not “Little Things”, but I find that very positive and it doesn’t say anything about the quality of the album. You wouldn’t have been true to yourself if you just repeated what you did.
In many ways “Rykestrasse” is the more mature record. “Berlin” gives me shivers every time I hear the track. The only song where I can find any pop-appeal is the single “A Cheater’s Armoury”, but nevertheless it is a very clever track. So I cannot agree to Kristian. “Rykestrasse” is a great album and it is my favourite one this year. And that means a lot, when my favourite artists Howe Gelb and M. Ward have done wonderful albums too. But you have left them all behind and really moved me deep and true with that record.
Stay as you are. And please please come on tour in Germany soon (and please come a little bit closer to Kiel).
All the best wishes,
Thorsten
I love “The North Wind”. It is really arresting and beautiful.
I was listening to some indie station and heard that song and I was mesmerized. I had immediately buy the entire album.
